El Chorro landmark photo - the limestone gorge
On the left side of the Guadalhorce river there is a railway track disappearing in the tunnel. On the right side you can see the Caminito del Rey waving along the rock.

The locked door on the path to the Camino del Rey. The door is located at the path entry near the old hydroelectric dam.
A few meters behind the locked door there is a huge fragment that is missing from the path.
This used to be the route of the people who built or worked at the hydroelectric dam on the other side of the gorge. The missing part of the path was destroyed on purpose so that tourists cannot walk on the path even if they manage to go over the locked door.

Back in 1965 i.e. when the movie was shot, the Caminito del Rey was in a good shape and still reaching the railway tracks.
